HUMANITY First, a charity organisation based in the UK, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the health departments of Mbale, Sironko and Budaka districts to offer medical expertise and basic equipment for the next five years.

The groups agreed to develop a partnership to foster the exchange of knowledge and skills in emergency care, neonatal and infant health, maternal health, chronic diseases and disaster response.

The medical director Humanity First, Dr. Rasheed Shahnawaz, said the project focuses on areas where there is demonstrable need for health care.
